Consistency - Sales and Local Business Marketing

Once a buying decision is made, the buyer is inclined to buy or to continue to act in a way that is consistent with the buyer’s previous action. That is, unless the buyer is met with indifference. Frankly, indifference in today’s businesses is running so rampant, your sales team should have no difficulty in shining bright beyond your competitors.
In today’s business climate, one of the biggest mistakes I see business owners make is to ignore indifference from their employees, versus addressing it straight up. A second huge mistake business owners make is to cut spending on their marketing efforts. And, especially when it comes to local business marketing efforts. In a down economy, your marketing needs to be that much stronger than ever before.
And, if your prospect or previous buyer makes a purchase, it’s the ideal opportunity at that very moment to add something else for the buyer to purchase. It may be more or less expensive than what they have already purchased. But an up-sell or down-sell with every customer you see will dramatically affect your sales and the bottom line. And it doesn’t cost you a dime more to offer these add-on sales opportunities!
Whether your sales are by phone or in person, never miss the opportunity for greater profits with consistent product and/or service offers. And, keep your local marketing efforts strong.
Best of Success!
